Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Welcome

Inernal Quality Assurance Cell was established in the academic year 1999-2000 and functions on the basis of the guidelines set forth by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It works towards improving and maintaining the quality of education, identifying and suggesting new ways of using teaching aids, developing suitable infrastructure and offering suggestions for new self-financing courses. The IQAC has been diligently involved in helping the Management and Principal and other committees by offering valuable suggestions and measures in order to have consistency in maintaining the quality of education. Thus, IQAC is an effective and efficient internal co-ordinating and monitoring mechanism.

The basic purposes of the IQAC are: 

a) To ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the institution, and 
b) To assure stakeholders connected with higher education – namely, students,parents, teachers, staff, would-be employers, funding agencies and society in general - of the accountability of the institution for its own quality and probity.

The IQAC will evolve mechanisms and procedures for ensuring the following:

a) Timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
b) The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.
c) Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.
d) Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
e) The credibility of evaluation procedures.
f) The adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
g) Research sharing and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.

On the Eve of Platinum Jubilee of the College, the following activities are planned for the 2011-12:- 

 

· To organize National Conferences to promote research culture in staff and students 

· To develop overall personality of the students by organizing various activities, seminars, workshops
· To compete with the global challenges by making teaching and non-teaching ICT friendly
· To arrange workshops on effective use of ICT in teaching.

· To merge co-curricular activities of departments under one umbrella.
