B.Sc. COMPUTER SCIENCE

  • Duration - 3 years full time.
  • Batch Size - 60 students.
  • Eligibility Criteria:
    • As per (University Ordinance - O.5719, Circular No. No.UG./284 of 2007, Dated 16th June,2007).
    • A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three years integrated course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Std. XII) in Science stream conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subject or its equivalent.
    • Admission will be on merit, based on order of preference as follows:
      • Aggregate Marks at H.S.C. or equivalent.
      • Aggregate Marks in Science Group (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
      • Marks in Mathematics and Statistics and Physics.
      • Marks in Mathematics and Statistics.

M.Sc. COMPUTER SCIENCE

As per University Circular No. PG/ Univ./VCD/ ICC / 2012-13/ 8.

  • Duration - 2 years full time.
  • Batch Size - 50 Students.
  • Admission Criteria -
  • A learner who has either passed Bachelor's Degree Examination of University of Mumbai in Science or equivalent degree of any other university recognized as equivalent thereto with one of the following as major subject:

  • Duration - 2 years full time.
  • Batch Size - 20 Students.
  • Eligibility Criteria -

A learner who has either passed B.Sc. Degree in Information Technology of University of Mumbai or any other recognized University with minimum 45 percent of marks.

OR

B.Sc. In Computer Science / BCS with minimum 45 percent marks.

OR

B.E. Degree in any branch with 45 percent marks.

OR

B.Sc. (Mathematics) with minimum 45 percent marks.

OR

B.Sc. (Physics) with minimum 45 percent marks.

OR

B.Sc. (Statistics) with minimum 45 percent marks.

OR

B.Sc. (Electronics) with minimum 45 percent marks.

With Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10 + 02 or its equivalent examination. Further, 15 percent of the seats out of the sanctioned capacity is to be utilized for the above said admissions.

  • Our Department has well furnished Computer Laboratories for UG and PG both (Comp. Sci. & I. T.) courses.
  • The computer laboratories are used for conducting lectures and practical.
  • Dedicated computer laboratories extensively used by all the students UG & PG both.

  • Our Department started organizing the Intercollegiate IT Festival TechStorm in the year 2004. Since then it has been a grand event organized every year.
  • TechStorm is an assortment of well thought out events catering to anyone and everyone who is more than just casually interested in computers.
  • Students play an important role in organizing this event. This event is organized by students for students under the guidance of our faculties every year. Students enhance their interpersonal skills and gain confidence in communicating their views to others.

EDUCATIONAL VISIT

        Educational visits play an important role in student development. Along with their curriculum we also organize educational visits to various organizations to make students aware about the work environment in Industry/Companies and to get in-depth knowledge in the subject.Educational Visit Organized Last Year -

  • Pune University, Computer Science Department.
    • Participants - MSc CS and IT Students.
    • Students visited the Physics and the Computer Science Departments of Pune Unversity.

  • Core Technologies.
    • Participants - MSc CS and IT students.
    • A workshop was conducted on Animation at Core Technologies campus. The workshop was helpful for students to understand 3D Animation and the technology used behind it. Students were introduced to Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. And implementation of virtual technology to develop animations and use them in education.
