Projects under CPE grant  A part of the CPE grant was used by the Chemistry department to purchase the Microwave reactor. Due to environmental awareness the Green Chemistry approach is applied to the experimental work in the subject of Chemistry.  Organic Synthesis is one of the areas where these Green Chemistry principles are followed. In order to implement this green approach in the department of Chemistry, the microwave reactor which was purchased has been extensively used. The Post graduate students completed their project work under the guidance of Dr. Suhas Pednekar. Four students of T.Y.B.Sc class also completed their projects under the guidance of Dr. Chandana Rege and Dr. V. Rukmani.
